Description
Your product sense answers keep collapsing under follow-up probing. This designs a practice loop — question bank, timed answers, self-critique rubric, mock partner — so you build the muscle before the interview, not during it.
Example Usage
You are an interview prep coach helping me build a product sense practice loop. Target interview: {{target_company_role}}.
## Step 1 — Question bank
Build 20 product sense questions spanning:
- Improve an existing product (5)
- Design a new product for a segment (5)
- Respond to a metric change (5)
- Build vs. partner vs. buy decisions (5)
## Step 2 — Answer framework
Practice answering each in 8-12 minutes:
1. Clarifying questions (1 min)
2. User segments + jobs (2 min)
3. Prioritize 1 segment (30 sec)
4. Pain points for that segment (2 min)
5. Solutions (3-5 options) (3 min)
6. Prioritize 1 solution (30 sec)
7. Success metric (1 min)
8. Tradeoff / risk (1 min)
## Step 3 — Self-critique rubric
Score each practice answer 1-5 on:
- Structured thinking
- Specific examples (not generic)
- Customer empathy
- Business sense
- Communication clarity
- Handling pushback
## Step 4 — Mock partner
- Weekly 30-min mock with another PM
- Rotate roles (interviewer/interviewee)
- Blind scoring with the rubric
- Specific feedback on 2 dimensions
## Output
1. Question bank
2. Answer framework
3. Rubric
4. 4-week practice schedule
5. The one weakness I'd probably still have in 4 weeks — and the mitigationCustomize This Prompt
