Description
You've shipped your MVP and have some active users, but you're not sure whether you've actually hit product-market fit or just built something 'nice to have.' This runs the classic 'very disappointed' survey, segments the responses, and tells you exactly what to fix.
Example Usage
Design and analyze a product-market fit survey for {{product_name}} to determine whether we've achieved PMF and what to improve.
## Context
- Product: {{product_name}}
- Current active users: {{active_user_count}}
- Launch date: {{launch_date}}
- Primary use case: {{primary_use_case}}
- Current NPS or satisfaction score (if available): {{nps_score}}
## Step 1: Survey Design
Create a survey with these core questions:
1. "How would you feel if you could no longer use {{product_name}}?" (Very disappointed / Somewhat disappointed / Not disappointed)
2. "What type of people do you think would most benefit from {{product_name}}?" (open text)
3. "What is the main benefit you receive from {{product_name}}?" (open text)
4. "How can we improve {{product_name}} for you?" (open text)
Add 2-3 custom questions specific to {{primary_use_case}}:
- Usage frequency question
- Alternative solutions question
- Willingness-to-pay question
## Step 2: Distribution Plan
1. Identify the right cohort to survey (users who've used the product 2+ times in the last 2 weeks)
2. Calculate minimum sample size for statistical significance
3. Recommend distribution channels (in-app, email, Slack)
4. Set a response deadline and follow-up cadence
## Step 3: Analyze Results
If "Very disappointed" responses are:
- **≥40%**: You likely have PMF. Focus on growth.
- **25-39%**: You're close. Segment who the "very disappointed" users are and double down on their needs.
- **Customize This Prompt
