Description

You're about to pitch a product initiative but each stakeholder cares about different things — engineering wants feasibility, sales wants revenue impact, design wants user experience. This creates a single brief with tailored sections that speak to each audience's priorities.

Example Usage

Create a stakeholder alignment brief for {{initiative_name}} that wins buy-in from every key function.

## Context
- Initiative: {{initiative_name}}
- Product: {{product_name}}
- Key stakeholders: {{stakeholder_list}} (e.g., VP Engineering, Head of Sales, Design Lead, CFO)
- Initiative timeline: {{timeline}}
- Estimated investment: {{investment_estimate}}
- Expected impact: {{expected_impact}}

## Step 1: Stakeholder Mapping
For each stakeholder:
1. What is their primary success metric?
2. What are they most worried about right now?
3. What's their likely objection to this initiative?
4. What would make them an active champion (not just a passive approver)?

## Step 2: Universal Narrative
Write a 3-paragraph executive summary that:
1. Opens with the customer problem (not the solution)
2. Connects the problem to a business metric everyone cares about
3. Presents the proposed solution with a clear "why now" argument

## Step 3: Tailored Sections
Create a focused section for each stakeholder type:

### For Engineering Leadership
- Technical approach and architecture implications
- Resource requirements (headcount, sprints, infrastructure)
- Technical risks and mitigation strategies
- Impact on tech debt and system reliability

### For Sales / Revenue Leadership
- Revenue impact projection with assumptions stated
- How this affects win rate, deal size, or churn
- Customer quotes or data supporting demand
- Competitive positioning implications

### For Design / UX Leadership
- User research insights driving this initiative
- Impact on user experience and satisfaction metrics
- Design principles and constraints
- Accessibility and usability considerations

### For Finance / Executive Leadership
- ROI analysis with payback period
- Opportunity cost of not doing this
- Resource trade-offs and what gets deprioritized
- Success metrics and measurement plan

## Step 4: Decision Package
- Clear ask: what exactly do you need from each stakeholder?
- Decision timeline: when do you need a yes/no?
- Escalation path: what happens if there's no consensus?
- Pre-meeting prep: 3 questions to send stakeholders before the review meeting
